Language and Communication: Tips for Pitching in English and the Power of Storytelling
Having trouble telling your story in English as a second language? Are you asked to repeat what you just said very often? Do you hesitate to speak up?
This interactive workshop is for people who want to become more effective and confident when speaking English at work, pitching start-up ideas or for general networking. Come prepared to tell your story with an elevator pitch or a 2-3 sentence introduction of yourself or your business. What you say and how you say it, in English, does matter.
You will learn accent reduction strategies & key presentation techniques to improve your story for your business, your brand and your ability to network. We will focus on the Music of American English and work with key vocabulary.
Come and learn how to tell your story more effectively and confidently in American English.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Scottie Spurzem is a versatile English Language Coach who works with individuals, companies and entrepreneurship programs who don't want English getting in the way of their success. Most of her clients speak at least proficient English but are searching for specific coaching to be more confident and effective when doing business or presenting in English as a non-native speaker.
Through Scottie’s personalized coaching, international businesspeople can confidently tackle their accent issues and better prepare for a variety of important events, such as public speaking engagements, interviews, networking, or pitching to VC firms.
Scottie has a deep investor relations background working with C-level management and she meets with clients all over the world virtually or in person in the San Francisco Bay Area.
