The Impacts of Covid-19 on US Stock Market

Pandemic Selling

DISCUSSION - 20' presentation and 10' Q&A

Following an unprecedented eleven year run, our current bull market has yielded to the pressure from a worldwide pandemic.  This is not to surrender any expectations for eventual gains or recovery going forward, but it is to face the reality that the challenges we currently face are no longer modest in nature.  Market participants, perhaps blinded to risk itself after the outstanding results of 2019, have been caught in the crossfire of an unexpected virus, an oil war, and a growing sense of geopolitical angst that has finally pierced the vaunted armor of a highly valued equity market built upon global trade, consumer spending, high levels of employment, along with low interest rates.
